Essential Information

We are always interested in getting new, friendly, and talented DJs to join us, so if you feel that you have something unique and exciting to offer us then please read on.

This Essential Information must be read before completing the application form below:

Exceptions and replying to applications

We have many DJs apply to us every month, and we simply cannot find work for everybody. We will keep your details on file if we think that we may be able to find work for you in the future.

Filling in the form

It is essential that all fields are filled in. As we have so many applications, we cannot and will not chase you for information. The more information you supply in the form, the more likely your chances are of being accepted. Most importantly, this is your opportunity to sell yourself, not just to us, but to any potential clients.

PLI Insurance

We cannot legally send out to work any person not covered by Public Liability Insurance of at least £2m cover. Even if you are a regular of ours – if your insurance has expired, you will be pulled from the job. We request that all DJs scan in their insurance and email it to us so that we can send it to clients and have easy access to it. Copies of your PLI are available from your provider, so you should always make sure that you have an up-to-date copy to hand.

Good publicity is vital. It gives us and the client an idea of your calibre, and is the perfect way for us to find out details about you. Ideally, you should have at least 3 images files of your sound and lighting equipment. All DJs must include image files of their sound and lighting equipment, as we simply cannot represent any DJs without these. Browse through our website at similar images to get an idea of what we are after. Please note that we cannot accept publicity with your contact details on, so please do not send this to us.

Working for Sound Bookings

We expect the utmost quality from our DJs. When you are out on a job you are not just representing yourself, you are representing Sound Bookings as an agency. We do not allow DJs to drink alcohol on the job. We do not allow DJs to fraternise whilst on the job. We expect you to be well presented, and we absolutely will not tolerate lateness. We would expect you to hold these same values, whether working for us or working for yourself.

It is hugely important that when we hire you for a job, you are working for Sound Bookings and therefore you must not hand out your own publicity or give out your contact details. You will be removed from our books if we discover that you have done this.

Arrive early, introduce yourself to the client, make a good impression and you will get booked again!

Good luck and we look forward to working with you!
